The Dominican Republic is the second largest island in the Caribbean and the very first with the most ancient shipwrecks ever registered in America. They came from the old world in search for fortune, romance and adventure, and destiny sunk their dreams forever in these beautiful crystal clear waters that preserved them as a beautiful graveyard for the actual generation of underwater new adventurers.

In our waters we also have the widest humpback whale sanctuary in the world. It is conformed by the Silver Bank, the Samaná Bay and the Navidad Bank. It possesses the biggest whale population of nearly 3,500 individuals that come every year to mate and deliver their calves in these warm, transparent and secure waters.

The North Atlantic Humpback Whales' biggest sanctuary, and certainly it is located in the Dominican waters. This marine mammals' sanctuary traverses the Silver Bank, the Navidad Bank and the Samaná Bay. It harbors whales such as humpbacks, sperm whales, pilot whales, dolphins such as the Bottlenose and the Spotted and the peculiar endangered Antillean Manatee.
